There’s not much I can complain about these days. I’ve got a wonderful girlfriend, a nice apartment, just got a raise, and this blog thing seems to be attracting readers. This is definitely becoming a journey away from the blogs I kept in high school, when I wrote on dead journal because it was somehow better than live journal.
The days when I wrote lengths and lengths of text bemoaning my existence as a hopeless romantic, desperate for some girl to give me a chance. Later I’d come to understand the give and take of relationships, how they form and what makes them fall apart, and that everything I thought in high school was absolutely wrong. You don’t get girls by putting them up on pedestals, in fact, that’s how you get “friend zoned”, which is what every guy in high school now, who is like I was then, dreads the most. But that’s what you found on my dead, and eventually live, journals. Whining about girls, melodramatic song lyrics, and let’s not forget the long paragraph, middle of the climax stories…can’t ever forget those. I’ll post ’em one day, no worries.
